1.What is the role of EURAC Research in Hypergryd Project EU?
Eurac research is one of the four Living Labs of the project where the small-scale CHP (Combined Heat and Power) will be tested. It is also task leader of tasks 4.1 (Definition of use cases, stakeholders, and roles) and 5.1 (Demonstration strategy and validation criteria).
2.How do you contribute to the Hypergryd Project EU with your work?
Eurac research contributes to the HYPERGRYD project in different activities. It supports RANOTOR in the development of the CHP (Combined Heat and Power) unit that will be tested in the Energy Exchange Lab of Eurac Research. The aim of the test is to acquire experimental knowledge about the operating ranges of the CHP (Combined Heat and Power). Moreover, Eurac research leads the definition of the use cases of each Living Labs and the related stakeholders and roles. Starting from the use cases and KPIs defined respectively in T4.1 and WP1, Eurac research leads the definition of the demonstration strategy of the demonstrator and validation criteria for the involved software tools.
3. Any tips for the public about EURAC Research work?
Eurac research is a research center composed by eleven institute. Our research addresses the greatest challenges of the future: keeping societies healthy, fostering intact environments, promoting sustainable energy, and developing well-functioning political and social systems. Seeking answers through interaction between a variety of disciplines, we develop concrete solutions for regional problems which can then be applied globally. We continually strive to open new paths with science and innovation, by responding to society’s complex questions with answers geared to the needs of people.
