We have created this section for a better understanding of Hypergryd Project EU and all its members.
To do so, each week, one of the partners will answer some questions.
Let’s get started!
Our guest this week is Christian Doczekal from Güssing Energy Technologies (GET)
The role of GET in the Hypergryd Project EU is collaboration at WP3.
But let Christian Doczekal tell us about it!
1.What is the role of GET in Hypergryd Project EU?
GET covers the expertise for the 4th and 5th generation of district heating within the project. GET is also responsible for the development of the exergoeconomic calculation tool. We also cover the demo case Sonnenplatz in Austria. The aim is to bring more renewable energy into the existing district heating grids through sector coupling.
2.How do you contribute to the Hypergryd Project EU with your work?
The exergoeconomic tool is intended to be used to make an economic and technical comparison based on exergy. The tool can be used for design but also for optimization of operation and components. Especially in the present time, it is important to have a basis for decision-making to use the available energy flows in a technically and economically sensible way. The tool thus offers a variety of results that can serve as a basis for decision-making, see figure.
3. Any tips for the public about your work?
With our contribution to the HYPERGRYD project, we provide an important key for district heating grids to remain flexible and competitive in the future.
Our company is very active in the optimization of district heating grids.
